Toner Ink for HP Laserjet P1005
For some time HP and Brother have been in competition as to which of them can supply the best budget black and white laser printer since the first production of the first mono laser printers. Equally as important, was the price of the HP P1005 cartridge as HP’s faced stiff competition from the Brother HL2040 cartridge. The HP P1005 printer uses the CB435A toner ink with approximately 2000 pages of print at 5% coverage.Ā This printer is ideal for use in the office where documents and reports are printed on a daily basis.Ā The Brother HL2040 is also an excellent printer positioned in the same category of printers and uses the Brother TN2000 cartridge.
Up to now Brother has been the reigning champion. With the new HP P1005 toner, however, HP attempted to claim the crown from Brother. However, with the Brother printer actually producing faster print times and more effective savings on consumable costs, HP’s efforts have still some way to go. As always, simplicity is the key factor in mono laser printers, and the HP P1005 certainly succeeds with this.Ā The toner and ink output for both machines can be improved by considering using compatible or remanufactured toner ink.Ā The HP printer’s carbon footprint is small even for that of a mono laser printer, and it is compact enough to fit in a cramped space. However, there is a downside in that the Brother printer has a capacity to hold 250 pages in a closable paper tray, the HP P1005 will only store up to 150 pages in a tray that must remain open during use.
The connection on the HP 1005 is limited to USB 2.0. Users would have liked an Ethernet connection enabling home and small office networking, and the printer’s initial pricing most certainly justifies this inclusion. The HP Laser Toner replacement is very simple, it follows the same method as Canon Lasershot, just lift up the paper output tray and insert the CB435A toner. The HP P1005 toner will run at an average 6p per page, just slightly more expensive than the 4.8p per page managed by the Brother TN2000 Toner but still cost effective.
Speed is this printer’s biggest downfall. The HP P1005 cartridge prints approximately 15 pages per minute at its fastest. There is no draft 300dpi mode as found in many other laser printers. The speed is suitable for 600dpi printing, but the printer simply doesn’t cater for those occasions when speed takes priority over quality. When printing at 1200dpi, the HP CB435A toner ink doesn’t slow too much more; it averages approximately 12 pages per minute at this setting. These speeds, while unrivalled by any inkjet printers of the same value, are easily surpassed by Brother’s printers.
The HP P1005 toner ink does provide excellent quality text. Text is clean and sharp, although it is bolder when compared to the HL2140 TN2000 Toner.Ā This can make text slightly fuzzier in dense or heavy documents. It may be preferable to use the Brother HL2140 for better print quality, but both are more than adequate for everyday use.

Ink for HP Printer
The Hewlett Packard Company or HP as it is better known is the largest printer technology business in the world. As you would expect from a large company like HP, they produce a variety of printers for every need from home use to the requirements of a large office.Ā They also manufacture the toner and ink needed to run their printers albeit at a heavy cost to the consumer.
One of their biggest selling black ink toner is the Q2612A laser toner, otherwise known as the 12A, this toner will produce great reports in black and white and the printers are often seen as the workhorse of any office.
However, it is essential that low cost toner ink for most of the HP printers is available to help businesses save money in todays current climate. HP printers are listed in groups depending on the need of the end user:
LaserJet Printers: HP LaserJet printers produce high-speed, high volume and extremely high quality laser printing in colour and black and white. For example the HP Colour Laserjet 1600 uses the HP toner ink Q6000A, Q6001A, Q6002A, and Q6003A. The laserjet range are the smallest laser printers made by HP and as such are a quiet and compact model, ideal for offices where space is at a premium.Ā Another popular model is the HP Laserjet 1000W, this monochrome printer uses the laser toner Q7115A and Q7115X.Ā The toner cartridge Q7115A has an ink volume of approximately 2000 pages; a more economical cartridge is the laser toner Q7115X that has a page capacity of approximately 3500 pages.Ā The printer model HP Color Laserjet CP1210 uses four colours including the black; HP CB540A laser toner, CB541A, CB542A and CB543A.Ā The black laser toner cartridges give approximately 2200 pages at 5% coverage and the remaining colour approximately 1400 pages.
Deskjet Printers: The HP Deskjet printer models are perfect for everyday monochrome text printing and also give great results when printing photographs. The fastest printing Deskjet printer will print up to 36 pages per minute and some of the printers in this group of printers are mostly built from recycled plastic.Ā The HP Deskjet 1000 printer uses the HP301XL ink cartridge, this is available as a black and a colour cartridge.Ā The HP301XL, Hewlett Packard code; HP CH564EE ink cartridge comes in a standard size with 6ml of ink while the remanufactured high capacity version of the cartridge (HP301XL), comes with 15ml of ink!Ā The HP301XL ink cartridge in black again comes in two sizes; the HP original black cartridge HP CH563EE has 8ml of ink and the remanufactured cartridge has 15ml of ink.Ā There are great savings to be made buying the compatible HP 301XL ink cartridge as well as almost 100% more ink in the cartridges.
The HP Deskjet 1600C printer is another very popular printer that uses a combination of colour and black cartridges.Ā The colour cartridge is the HP51645A ink cartrtidge otherwise known as the HP45 ink cartridge.Ā The ink volume is 45ml in the remanufactured version and thatās just a 5% increase on the original ink HP cartridge.Ā However, the savings are in the price and this can be as much as 100% on the OEM cost.

Eco Friendly Ink and Toner Cartridges
What is important you when buying ink and toner cartridges?Ā Is it the price, the print quality, or the environmentally friendly way the cartridge has been manufactured?Ā These questions are all relevant in some form to all of us who use a printer either at home or in the office.Ā In these times of austerity many would say that the price of the toner ink is the first priority.Ā A valid point, as many businesses prefer to do their own in-house printing of leaflets and reports instead of using the commercial printer and thus cutting out that expense.Ā In 2012 one of the businesses hardest hit by the recession is the commercial printer with more and more businesses printing their own letterheads and using email instead where possible.Ā A business can print out a good quality letterhead economically providing it has a good quality paper and a high quality printer using high quality toner ink.Ā For a business such as a firm of Chartered Accountants who print reports on a weekly basis or a busy solicitors office the ink and toner bill can be enormous at the end of the year.Ā One way to get that bill reduced is by buying high quality ink and toner.
The effect that toner ink cartridges have on the environment is a concern to many people as they try to think of ways to reduce the pollution on our planet.Ā Recycling ink toner cartridges has to be the way forward in helping this cause.Ā If we are able to re-use 90 per cent of our cartridges, that means we are using less plastics in the manufacturing process; less new parts are required and less product has to go to landfill.Ā Of course it is up to the ink and toner manufacturers to find ways of getting their customers to return the empty cartridges.Ā This can be done by either providing the end user with some way to return the cartridge either by post or by courier (this raises another environmental concern with regard to the extra fuel required to complete this task). This also would add a cost to the manufacturer that they would feel they have to pass on to the consumer in some form.Ā The other way is to have the end user return the toner and ink cartridges at their own cost in order to facilitate a donation to charity by the manufacturer.Ā It is possible also for the ink toner manufacturers to strike up a deal with a courier company for a favourable rate for collecting large amounts of used ink and toner from a large institution such as a school or college.Ā The empty ink toner cartridges can then be collected at no cost to the user, remain cost effective for the manufacturer and provide the transport company with the goodwill of being seen to help a charity and the environment.
Certainly this last option means there are many winners, most of all the environment.

Tactics for Ink and Toner Cartridges by Printer Manufacturers
Since printer toner and ink cartridges were first introduced, their prices have become increasingly higher when buying the cartridges at the more popular retail outlets. Printer manufacturers have found that once a customer has purchased a toner ink printer they are very likely to continue buying the ink toner cartridges for it, even if the prices of the original cartridges are steep, rather than changing the printer.
Another tactic from the printer manufacturer is that the companies that make printers often sell them with ink and toner cartridges containing less ink that those consumers buy separately. In fact, buying original ink and toner products at a high street shop can make the prices of having photographs printed professionally, and visiting a copy shop to print out documents very attractive by comparison. For this is the reason, consumers are continuing to search for the cheapest ways to purchase toner ink cartridges. The most inexpensive option when buying ink cartridges options is to purchase compatible or remanufactured ink and toner cartridges.
The remanufactured toner ink cartridges have been refilled either by the original manufacturer, also known as (OEM) or more often than not, a third-party company. The most expensive and environmentally unfriendly part of an toner ink printer cartridge is the electronic printer head. Remanufactured ink and toner printer heads are one of the best forms of recycling. When you buy a remanufactured ink and toner printer head, at a reduced cost, itās a great way to help protect our environment, and get great value on your product at the same time.
The most popular way for consumers in the UK and Ireland to search for great bargain deals on ink and toner cartridges is to buy online. Because the online companies do not need to maintain a large retail presence, they can offer reduced prices on all ink and toner products. They very often have large clearance sales because they sell so many, watch out for bundle and multipack deals with free ink and toner cartridges. When buying online every consumer in Ireland and the UK can save even more money when buying compatible and remanufactured ink cartridges at printerinkcartridges.
Bulk buying can yield even bigger savings. In some cases the suppliers of ink and toner cartridges will offer discounted or free delivery if the order is big enough.Ā Because of the large amounts of stock held in the larger online companies, next day delivery is also an advantage if you run low on your ink.Ā Believe it or not, there are some toner ink cartridge suppliers now offering free gifts such as chocolate bars as an incentive to for their customers to buy.Ā These will very often be seasonal, for example if you buy a bundle set or large multipack of ink cartridges at Easter time, you will qualify for a supply of Cadburys mini eggs.Ā Nice to share around the office with a cup of tea and you are probably more likely to revisit that supplierās website when you run short of your ink cartridges.

Original Toner Ink versus Remanufactured Toner Ink
(OEM) Original Toner Ink Cartridge
An Original Ink Toner Cartridge is one made by the Original Equipment Manufacturer, or OEM. If you own a Brother Laser printer or a Canon Printer, then the Brother or Canon brand is the original cartridge for your printer.
Compatible Toner Ink Cartridge
A compatible toner cartridge is manufactured by a third party manufacturer and is made from completely new compatible parts. It is similar in quality and often the yield will exceed the original cartridge.Ā They are not identical in form as they cannot infringe on the copyright of the original cartridge but they will still fit in your printer and work as well as the original ink toner.
Remanufactured Ink and Toner Cartridges
Remanufactured toner ink cartridges are original oem cartridges collected by a remanufacturer who then checks, tests and replaces any worn parts, re-fills it with toner ink then re-assembles, tests and re-packages for sale as a new cartridge. There are types of remanufactured toner and ink cartridges and the terms ācompatible and remanufactured toner inkā are often confusing for the end-user.Ā Basically, some remanufacturers will replace a few worn parts and call it compatible, however some of the less reliable refill ink toner shops (sometimes found in the high street) will drill a hole, fill it with toner and call it remanufactured.
What to look for when buying remanufactured Toner Ink
A cartridge that is manufactured in a facility with ISO 9001/14001 standards will mean there is a high quality standard in all the cartridges.
A premium compatible ink toner cartridge will be manufactured under strict quality control guidelines ensuring that the highest level of quality and reliability is reach.
Each toner ink cartridge should utilize new components i.e. blades, drums, chips etc and original cores to provide a premium level performance in your printer.
Every product must go through a rigorous testing procedure to minimize the failure rate.
All toner and ink cartridges should be designed to meet or exceed the original manufacturer product specifications for volume, print quality, and performance.
There can be substantial cost savings over (OEM) original manufacturer toner ink cartridges, sometimes as much as 50% overall savings.
Guaranteed Quality
All Ink toner cartridges are manufactured to provide the highest level of quality and performance and should carry a guarantee to highlight this fact.Ā Look for a money back guarantee from the supplier. The supplier will have a relationship with the manufacturer or importer that allows them to return faulty cartridges at no expense to the user.Ā Typically an online supplier of toner and ink should be looking at a returns rate of less than 1% overall.
Helping the environment
Another reason, some would say the best of all, is the effect buying remanufactured ink toner has on the environment.Ā Itās well know the advantages are that they:
- Reduces the solid waste in landfill sites.
- They help save naturesā resources
- They help reduce the air, water and soil pollution
These reasons alone are enough to make any of switch to compatible and remanufactured ink toner.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus Reviews
We decide to look into the reviews for the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and provide feedback for our customers on the overall positivity of this exciting printer. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus scores an impressive 9.3 out of 10 on most review sites in the UK and will surely take a big share of our toner and ink sales.
- This printer is well built and designed allowing easy access to inkjet cartridges – it has its own dedicated opening to access the ink cartridge rather than having to lift the scanner cover. The printer has an excellent scanner with equally good e tools.
- It’s very economical on toner ink and is fast printing with duplex available if required.
- The scanner is available for OCR as well as PDF and jpeg and is very simple to set up. It works well with Mac and PC. The e-print facility is extremely useful and it has a large capacity paper tray.
- It is labelled as an office printer but will serve just as well for a home user. It is almost 50 per cent cheaper than a laser printer. The black ink cartridges will print up to 2500 pages and the colour ink cartridge up to 1200 pages.
- It is capable of printing on card which is something that not every inkjet printer will do. Some would say ‘everything you would expect from a HP printer- fast and reliable’.
So overall, the printer gets very favourable reviews across the UK. Perhaps the biggest saving is considering using remanufactured toner and ink when buying a printer as this is the biggest outlay you are going to have during the life of the printer.

Kodak Stop Making Printers and Focus on Selling Ink
In late September Kodak announced that it is to stop making and selling inkjet cartridge printers. Kodak will focus instead on selling the ink cartridges for their printer range. According to their statement however, they will continue to sell the inkjet printers they have already manufactured but their sales will slowly cease in 2013. It seems a dwindling share of the toner and ink market, of which Lexmark are also suffering, are to blame for this.
Kodak have said however that they will still offer full support for their customers who have bought their printers in the past and that the supply of toner ink for these machines will continue for years to come.
Kodak was originally founded in 1889 and is probably best know for its photographic products such as negative film. They of course brought out the first digital camera but struggled as photographic film sales slowed up with the onset of rival digital camera companies. In January 2012 a team of specialists helped Kodak file for bankruptcy protection and it was hoped that theirs sales in the inkjet cartridges printer market would help them stay afloat.
What does this means for the many Kodak printer customers who will be concerned about ink toner supplies? The short answer is that Kodak will continue to produce their ink cartridges for the established market, and of course, this means there will be a steady supply of compatible toner and ink available also.
What do you think? Are you worried about how that leaves you for ink cartridges in Ireland? Or are you just happy to see the back of them. Share your thoughts with your friends or other Kodak users or leave us a comment.

Compatible Toner and Ink in Ireland Today
There are many questions surrounding the quality of toner and ink in Ireland today. How reliable is the compatible toner and ink sold on-line in Ireland or in our high street shop? We believe it is the responsibility of the supplier of ink cartridges and laser toner to back up their claims that the toner ink they sell is reliable, of high quality and backed up by a money back guarantee. The money back guarantee is of great significance to any customer who is concerned about whether the toner and ink they buy will work, produce good colour reproduction and most of all not damage the printer. At printerinkcatridges.ie, we are committed 100% to our customer service and will guarantee to rectify any problems that a customer would encounter with any toner and ink they buy from us in the first instance. If we find that we have exhausted all avenues to resolve the problem of the ink toner working then we will refund the customer in full.
We frequently hear that customers are put off buying toner and ink for fear the quality in Ireland is not up to that in the UK or indeed that all ink toner in Ireland is of a poor quality. We are trying to change that train of thought by first of all selling high quality remanufactured and compatible toner ink that is tested to the highest standards for quality. Our failure rate to date is less than 0.5% of all toner and ink sold. This is because each toner and ink that we supply has been tested and proven to work in the factory before it leaves the UK. In the very rare case where there is a failure of the microchip on the toner ink, the item is replaced immediately to reduce any inconvenience to our customer.
While it may take time to convince some businesses and home users about the great savings in using compatible toner and ink, it will also take time and positive word of mouth to spread the word that the quality is good too. We always look for feedback on our sales and welcome responses from our customers on Facebook, not just about our fast delivery (which is usually next day), but also about the quality and satisfaction of our toner ink. There are many suppliers of toner and ink cartridges on-line who do not offer a money back guarantee and this, I believe, puts our company at the top of list of toner and ink suppliers in Ireland.
There are huge savings to be made by businesses and schools if they were to switch from using OEM toner and ink to compatible and remanufactured toner ink. The savings during a year for a buy organisation could be up to 40% of their budget. We currently supply ink toner to schools and businesses right across Ireland helping them make big savings with a full back up on all our toners and ink.

Would You Like to Make Your Printer Toner and Ink Cartridges Last Longer?
Maybe you need to do a lot of printing at home or in the office or you just like to be careful with your money, either way I am going to share with you some tips to make your toner and ink last as long as possible.
We can start with a few basic rules to follow:
First of all, ink cartridges are filled with liquid toner and ink cartridges are filled with a coloured powder that is referred to as toner. In an inkjet printer, an ink cartridge will spray thousands of tiny drops of ink as fine as human hair onto the paper through a series of printer nozzles inside the printer. A laser printer, however, uses a process called ‘static chargeā that attracts the dry powder (laser toner or ink toner) to the paper and uses a heat process to fuse the toner ink onto the paper. It really is worth covering the basic difference between toner and ink (sometimes referred to as ink toner) before listing the top tips to getting the most out of your toner and ink cartridges and start saving some money!
Choosing the right toner and ink printer
Manufacturers of printers make most of their money through selling the printer ink cartridge and not the printer. That’s why very often you will see a printer advertised at an unbelievably low price – but beware! Very often the ink cartridge is very expensive and unless you choose to use a compatible ink cartridge then buying the cheap printer is becomes a false economy. Always ask your compatible toner and ink supplier which is the best priced toner and ink and choose your printer on that basis.
Don’t leave your printer idle for too long
A printer that is used regularly will always give better results. When a printer is left idle for long periods of time the toner and ink may dry out somewhat. To keep the ink cartridges ‘regular’ try printing at least one document each week to help the flow of toner ink.
Buy your Toner Ink in bulk
A lot of ink cartridge suppliers will now offer bulk buying on their toner and ink. Especially look out for deals that carry free ink. Toner ink suppliers like to reward loyalty by giving free toner and ink cartridges if you buy the larger multipacks which offer great savings and bonuses for the home and small business user.
Font type and bold text
Believe it or not, a bold font and a fancy font can lessen the life of your ink toner. Try to use a thin style font such as Calibri rather than Arial black. The difference can be significant if you have a large report to print.
Save money with vouchers, offers and promotions
Never pass an opportunity to save money on a promotion on toner and ink. Check Facebook regularly to see if any of the ink cartridge suppliers are offering give-aways or special offers. There are many deals to be had on-line that you would never see in the high street. Also many ink toner suppliers will give a full money back guarantee, so that if you do experience any problems with your ink cartridges they will replace the toner and ink or refund your money.
