Carl Frampton fight off?
Carl Frampton is threatening to call tomorrow nights fight off in a row over the dressing room! Sounds like it’s not a big deal but apparently if Carl will walk away from the fight if Quigg doesn’t relent and all Carl to use the main dressing room at the Manchester Arena. Is this for real or is it just hype? Quigg says he always use the main dressing room at him ‘home’ venue but Carl says that as the higher ranked of the two boxers that he should have first choice. Quigg also says that if Carl Frampton is that confident it shouldn’t matter which dressing room he uses!
Is this turning into a grudge match or is it just a storm in a teacup? The pair almost came to blows at the press conference with both fighters and their management team becoming agitated. Barry McGuigan, Carl Frampton’s manager also had words with Quigg as tensions rose.
This will be a real battle on Saturday night but unbeaten champ Carl Frampton is the man to beat and Quigg is going to have be at his best to stay the distance with unbeaten Frampton.

Maths teacher could win $1 million after being shortlisted for annual global teaching award
How proud are we that a maths teacher, Mr. Colin Hegarty, whose parents originate from County Clare and Mayo is up for a major Global Teaching Award; the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize. This prize is given in recognition of a teacher who had made an outstanding contribution in their workplace. The winner will be announced in Dubai next month at the Global Education and Skills Forum. Mr. Hegarty said he was taken completely by surprise by the announcement of the shortlisting and felt ‘a bit shellshocked’.
Mr Hegarty has been nominated following his creation of more than 1000 online videos that help prevent students from falling behind in their schoolwork. The whole idea began about four years ago when an A Level student had to take time off to tend to a sick relative. Mr. Hegarty’s videos are readily available on Youtube and are often used by teachers to explain a concept to pupils before it is put into practice in the classroom.
Mr. Hegarty was previously crowned the UK teacher of the year in 2014 and we certainly wish him well with his shortlisting for this latest award. To find out more about Mr. Hegarty’s online education video tutorials just visit this YouTube sensation or read the full article at the Independent newspaper.
