The latest HP970XL/HP971XL ink cartridges are now available as compatible inks for half the cost of the original brand. These super sized HP ink cartridges are high capacity inks with the HP970XL black printing 9200 pages @ 5% coverage and the colours HP971XL cyan, magenta and yellow printing 6600 pages each at the same 5% coverage. This represents big savings for the user both at home and in the office.
These inks are designed to work with the following HP printers: HP Officejet Pro X451dn, HP Officejet Pro X451dw, HP Officejet Pro X476dn, HP Officejet Pro X476dw, HP Officejet Pro X551dw and HP Officejet Pro X551dw. These MFP inkjet printers (multifunction peripheral to me and you) were manufactured with the intention of competing with the laser toner printers. In terms of size, these inkjet printers aren’t that much smaller than the laser printer (the physical size of the HP 970XL ink cartridge is certainly more in keeping with that of a laser toner).
When we examine further the Officejet Pro X476dw we see that this dark grey printer has a top sheet feeder accepting 50 pages while the main feeder accepts 500 pages. Curiously on this model the paper ejects to the left of the printer so it will be necessary to leave some clearance space on this side of printer. This is a fast printer with print speeds of up to 55 pages per minute in black and white. It is also possible to adjust the document profile prior to printing if you would like to boost the print quality. Overall there is very positive from each of the printers above. The sheer volume of print puts the HP 970XL ink cartridge in a class of its won with 9200 page print output. No other inkjet printer can compete with this page output and with the ink cartridges available as compatibles for half the cost of the original brand its a no brainer to make the switch.
