My printer model is not listed on the cartridge boxes I have received; will the cartridge work in my printer?
Very often when you buy compatible ink cartridges (and occasionally original brand ink) the model of the printer does not appear on the packaging of the box. Alarm bells immediately start to ring and you can become wary about opening the cartridge box. Even a quick call to the supplier might not allay your fears but the simple truth is that there is so many printer models added to the list of ink cartridges sold by all the major manufacturers that itâs virtually impossible to list every printer on the box! A good example of this would be the HP364 ink cartridges. HP was certainly thinking a head when they first developed these cartridges, as there are over 60 printers that will use these same cartridges.
A good way to check for yourself is to read the ink cartridge code from the existing cartridge in your printer. If it matches the code on the box then you know you have the correct cartridge. If there are no ink cartridges in the printer then Google your printer model and search for the cartridges it uses â this will give you the code you can check off against the code on the box you have received. If you have received the incorrect cartridges, return them to your supplier and request the correct ones.
I have ordered the correct cartridges but my print quality is poor.
There may be several reasons why the quality of print outs are not as good as you would expect. First of all remove the ink cartridges and check if the seal has been removed form the cartridge. Obvious as it sounds it is still worth checking. Re-install the cartridges and check to see if itâs likely that only one of the cartridges is giving the problem. Every printer has a built-in ânozzle checkâ; this can be accessed in the maintenance section of the printer utility. Perform a nozzle check to see if the print out matches the correct on screen chart. If you run this procedure 2 or 3 times (by the way this will use up ink) this may clear any blockage thatâs causing the poor print quality. The nozzle clean will clean all the print heads and use ink from each colour ink cartridge. If this doesnât make a difference to the overall quality of the print out, cease the cleaning operation, as itâs likely to be a faulty cartridge. Replace this and this should eliminate the problem.

Which printer uses the best value ink cartridges in Galway?
As summer approaches and the restaurants and bistros get into full swing, the printing of bar menus and daily specials become a priority for most eating houses. Printing your own menus will keep the cost down and cut out the need for a commercial printer. The added advantage of printing your own menus is the flexibility in making changes to a daily menu.
Epson printers are very popular among home users and small businesses and will usually accept compatible ink cartridges in Galway without any difficulty. The Epson Expression range of printers is not only great value but also a very versatile printer. This all-in-one printer, scanner and copier uses four colour ink cartridges black, cyan, magenta and yellow. To satisfy the thirst of this top selling printer, the Galway ink cartridge shops will have an abundant supply of the T1811 black, T1812 cyan, T1813 magenta and T1814 yellow. The printer will allow you to replace the colours as they run low individually and will accept the compatible version of the ink cartridges without much of a fuss.
Original brand Epson Expression printer ink in Galway can cost around âŹ80 for a full set. This is a ridiculous price and can often be more than the cost of the actual printer. A full set of the compatible version of this ink should set you back about half the cost of the original. A good quality compatible ink cartridge is a must and a money-back guarantee on the purchase of your ink cartridge in Galway is especially necessary for the first purchase you make in case you have any issues. The problem you are most likely to encounter is cartridge recognition. This is where the printer will not recognize the ink cartridge but removing and reinstalling the cartridge, gently wiping the âchipâ area with a dry soft cloth can very often solve the problem.
As a rule of thumb the best prices for the Epson Expression range of printers are on-line, itâs hard to see the price of a Galway ink cartridge being as cheap in comparison. The low initial cost of the Epson printer, coupled with the affordable running costs, make this range of printer good value with good quality printing. A good everyday printer recommended for general use in the home or the office.

How to Fix Some of the Most Common Printer Problems ?
Printers love them or hate them we can not really exist without them these days however paperless we try to be. Trying to solve printer problems ourselves before we either give up completely or pay to have the printer repaired is the option most of us choose.
If your printer is printing too slow you can try and boost the printer performance and save money on your ink cartridges at the same time. Every printer is different but switching to printing in draft mode in most Windows applications will speed up the print but slightly reduce the print quality. With some printers you can change the setting from normal to draft mode. An obvious way to save on your ink cartridge is to print direct from a website without the graphics.
The cost of original brand ink and toner has risen in recent years putting it on a par with champagne or Chanel No. 5 when compared on a like for like in ml. Making the switch from original brand to compatible ink cartridges is the best money saving tip we can get. The standard of modern day compatible ink and toner is generally accepted as being equal to that of the original cartridges.
If Windows on your computer is sending the job to the wrong printer then it is likely that you will need to rest the default printer. This may happen when you upgrade to a new Windows system â no one is sure why. To fix this problem in Windows 7 go to Devices and Printers, under printer and faxes right click the printer model you wish to make the default printer. The procedure may vary slightly for early versions of Windows.
If you are experiencing prints that are too light or are of poor quality it is likely that the print heads are clogged. Some print heads are located in the ink cartridge (integrated print heads) and some in the printer. This problem can occur frequently with inkjet cartridges and can be solved using your printerâs utility programme. From your Start menu go to Printers and Devices or the Control Panel and access your utility panel. Go to maintenance and select test print â this will give you a graph print out of the printer performance that you can use to compare to the on screen normal print out you should be seeing. If the print out is not clear or is missing lines in any way then go to clean heads. This operation may need to be performed several times to clear a badly clogged print head. This will also use quite a lot of ink and may result in your replacing one or more ink cartridges.
Problems with printers will vary from printer to printer. If you concerned that the ink cartridge is giving the problem contact your supplier for advice.

How to print images of Cork Maritime Festival 2014 from your iphone
Cork’s Maritime Festival takes place from 31st May until 1st June 2014. This is Ireland’s long-distance rowing race and attracts thousands of visitors to the City every year with professional and amateur photographers alike keen to capture the festival in print. The festival takes place in Cork Harbour that just happens to be one of the largest natural harbours in the world. This celebration of Irelandâs maritime culture and heritage is showcased to visitors from all around the world. Capturing memories of this special occasion on camera and paper will begin on Saturday 31st May as this premier long-distance race gets underway with an array of colourful boats. The Ocean to City Race is 28km long with the finish line at Lappâs Quay.
Printing those action shots whether professional or amateur, will mean printing on good quality photographic paper and this can be expensive if you couple this with original brand ink cartridges in Cork. Visiting an ink shop in Cork to buy the photographic paper will give you the opportunity to enquire about using the compatible version of your cartridges. The compatible ink cartridges will considerably reduce the cost of printing dramatically especially if you print in âbest photoâ mode. A good quality printing photographic paper is essential, as the ink will be easier dispersed on the paper whereas a bond paper will soak up the ink and give disappointing results.
There are basically 3 ways to print photos from your iphone:
- Use an AirPrint supported printer. Ant iphone 3GS or later will talk to an AirPrint printer. Most major printer brands have manufactured AirPrint compatible printers. You can also purchase compatible ink cartridges for your AirPrint printer.
- Go to the iTunes app store to find a printing app. For example download the free printing app HP ePrint. To use this app you will need a networked HP printer or any supported HP printer with an internet connection. If you do not have a HP printer you can download an app that works specifically with your printer and follow the instructions to begin printing.
- Print from MS Outlook. Set up a new mailbox in Outlook specifically for document you want to print or alternatively use automatic print email software that you can purchase online.
There is a lot of excitement locally as the festival start nears and the crowds descend on Cork and a helping hand from the weather will ensure a great festival for all. Happy photography.

Best Ever Value Ink Cartridges in Galway
Summer is making an appearance at last and as if to celebrate the prices of ink cartridges in Galway are dropping steadily thanks to some pretty clever online marketing by ink suppliers. HP, Epson, Brother, Canon, Samsung and Dell ink cartridges are available online at discounted prices in deals never seen before.
These great deals are available in multipack format where you buy large quantities, for example four full sets of ink, and the price is heavily discounted to encourage bulk buying. This would be useful to those people buying compatible printer ink in Galway especially the heavy users. At the moment the average print of an original brand Epson Galway ink cartridge would be somewhere in the region of âŹ15 whereas a compatible ink cartridge bought as part of a multipack can be had for as little as âŹ1!
Original brand Printer ink in Galway has consistently been overpriced – not the fault of the retailer by the way â compatible ink cartridges in Galway are making their presence felt with the demand for high quality compatibles on the increase. Small businesses spend a substantial amount of money each year on their printer ink in Galway and making the switch to compatibles makes good business sense. Itâs not just compatible ink cartridges that save money but compatible laser toner too. Many small businesses will own a colour or mono laser printer. A typical colour laser printer will take four toner cartridges that can cost anything up to âŹ200 to replace with original brand toner. Making the choice to switch to compatibles should be able to reduce that cost by 30% – 40%. These deals are only available online and can offer big savings to a business or home user.
Hotels and other businesses associated with the hospitality industry that are typical heavy ink users would especially benefit from these online offers. In some cases there are free toner cartridges when a full set of colour toners is purchased.

Why does my printer say its offline when its not?
On some occasions for no apparent reason your printer may declare itself offline and refuse to print. This can be very frustrating and often will happen with no warning. The problem is not much different to a printer not recognizing its ink cartridges, as it is purely a communication problem. The Laptop or PC cannot see the printer and therefore any links to between the printer and computer should be checked. The first and most obvious thing to look for is to make sure that the USB lead is attached – it may have worked itself loose or become disconnected in some way. If this is not the problem then try switching the printer off and on again leaving about 2 minutes in between, this will help the printer reset itself and may solve the problem.
If this fails to resolve the issue you can try the following steps:
- Go to ‘Start’ Menu
- Select ‘Devices and Printers’
- Double click or right click on your printer
- Click the link that says ‘Printer Offline’
- Click ‘Printer’ at the top
- Select and uncheck ‘Printer Offline’
Another common problem can be the failure of a printer to recognize the ink cartridge. Again, this is a communication problem between the ‘chip’ on the inkjet cartridge and printer. Firstly try switching the printer off and on an again, leaving about 2 minutes in between. If this doesn’t work then try pulling the power cable out of the printer while the printer is switched on, leaving for 2 minutes, and plugging back in again and switching back on. This will force the printer to recalibrate itself and may clear the problem. If this fails to work then remove the ink cartridge (if it is one particular cartridge that is giving the problem) and clean the copper ‘chip’ with a soft cloth. Be especially careful not to touch the copper area of the inkjet cartridge with you hands. If this does not work itâs likely the ink cartridges is faulty and should be exchanged for a replacement.

Where to buy ink cartridges in Dublin
Searching for the best prices for ink cartridges in Dublin will take you on-line and introduce you to the compatible range of inks on offer for your printer. Compatible ink cartridges are available for all the major brands of printers including Epson, Brother, HP, Samsung, Advent, Dell and Canon. The savings on ink for your printer using compatibles can be as much as 70% on some original brands. Many on-line deals also have free ink cartridges and free gifts with your order. There are many incentives to take advantage of when buying on-line and most Irish suppliers will offer next day delivery of your printer ink. The web-based suppliers also will carry large volumes of stock offering discounts where the high street retailer will struggle to compete with this.
Another option is cartridge refill in Dublin, this where the cartridge is brought to the shop and refilled either while you wait or within a few days. Some original brand cartridges can be refilled, these are the ink cartridges with an integrated print head and are usually more expensive to buy and when refilled will allow you print on but the volume levels will not show as the âchipâ on the cartridge believes the cartridge to be empty. You can also buy the remanufactured printer ink in Dublin, these are original brand cartridges that have been refilled and the âchipâ reset in the factory, repackaged and sold. The remanufactured ink cartridges should be approximately 30% less than the original brand cartridges. The real savings come with the compatible ink cartridges; these are the cartridges that are âclonesâ of the original brand.
The compatible inks are manufactured as new units and come in their own brand packaging. From time to time there may be issues with the printers recognising these cartridges but on the whole most printers will accept them. The best value printer ink in Dublin will likely be the compatible cartridges – finding a good reliable supplier with fast delivery is key. Of course some of the retailers in Dublin will also sell the compatible version of the cartridges but the prices will be unlikely to match those obtainable on-line. So when you are searching on-line for where to find ink cartridges in Dublin donât dismiss an on-line supplier located outside Dublin as a possible as 1 – 2 day delivery option is a more common service offered on-line.
