Q. What can be done if various printing issues occur with your Canon Pixma MX375 printer?

If printing results are blurred or one is getting wrong colours while printing a document then, this may be because the print head nozzles are probably clogged or coloured Canon Pixma MX375 ink cartridges are low on ink and need replacement. Also if the straight lines are misaligned then it might be possible that the paper loaded for printing is not of good quality. Follow the steps below to resolve such issues:

1. If FINE Cartridge is not installed properly Or there is no ink left in the cartridges

  • Remove the Canon Pixma MX375 ink cartridges and then reinstall with new one’s. Small dust particles may stuck between the contact points, clean the cartridge contacts. In this case, the print result may improved by reinstalling the ink cartridges
  • Also, check that the protective tape is removed while installing the new one

2. Print Head nozzles are clogged
When printing becomes faint or colours are incorrect then perform any necessary maintenance operation or perform the print head cleaning function on it.

3. The media is loaded with the wrong side facing upward

  • Many types of paper are made to be printed on only a particular side of the paper. It is always recommended to print through the glossier side of paper for better results
  • Printing on the wrong side may cause unclear prints or prints with reduced quality
  • For detailed information about the printable side, refer the user manual supplied with the paper

4. Print Head is misaligned
If you did not align the print head after installation, straight lines may be printed misaligned. Make sure that you align the printheads after you install it. Refer the online user manual for the process of aligning the printheads and perform print head alignment using the operation panel.

Even if the quality of the printed document is not improved after performing the print head alignment process or by replacing the Canon Pixma MX375 ink cartridges with the new one, contact the customer care service at your home to resolve the issue.

Q. Hi, I have Canon PIXMA MX375 all-in-one printer. It prints great pictures but recently it has started printouts with ink stains on the back side of the paper. Is it an issue of faulty Canon PIXMA MX375 ink cartridges or is there something wrong with the machine? How to fix it?
A. Usually, this is not the result of any faulty Canon PIXMA MX375 ink cartridge. This issue occurs due to uncleaned parts of the printer. Usually, too much printing, borderless printing, or duplex printing can leave the bottom plate of the printer stained with ink. You can try performing Bottom Plate Cleaning to resolve the issue.

Before you proceed:
Do not perform any other operations while performing the Bottom Plate Cleaning.

Follow the steps below to run a Bottom Plate Cleaning cycle:

  1. Grab a new A4 size paper sheet, fold it half widthwise and then unfold it
  2. Now from the 2 sides created by this fold, take one side and fold it again in half of this side, aligning the edge with the center crease, then unfold the paper.
  3. Now take out all the sheets in the input tray and load only one paper that you just folded. Make sure to load it with the ridges of the creases facing up and the edge of the half with no crease facing away from you.
  4. Open the output tray extension, open the paper output tray, then extend the paper output support.
  5. Now start cleaning the inside of the machine
    • Press the Setup button.
    • Go to Maintenance by pressing side arrows on the navigation panel, then press the OK button.
    • Now use the arrow keys and select Bottom cleaning, then press the OK button
  6. This will start the cleaning process. When the paper feeds through the machine, it cleans the insides of the printer
  7. Check the folded parts of the ejected paper. If they are smudged with ink, perform Bottom Plate Cleaning again.

If this does not resolve the issue try performing Protrusions Cleaning process. Check the user manual to get the instruction.
