How to refill the Canon PG545 ink cartridge?

Refilling instructions
- Do not refill the old cartridges or unused cartridges that are kept idle for a longer period time.
- The best printing performance can be achieved by refilling the cartridges before the ink is completely over.
- Cover the surface space with some of the sheets or newspapers to keep the surface safe from the spilled ink.
- Always wear the protective gears for safety purpose.
- Check the colour chamber allocation properly before the refilling process. If you refill it with the wrong ink, the cartridge becomes unusable. If it is difficult for you to be sure for the exact colour location, use the cotton swab to identify the find its correct location.
- To eradicate the Canon PG545 ink cartridge’s spilled problem, it is recommended to refill it to a maximum 80% of the declared capacity.
- If you filled to much ink in cartridge make sure the ink does not drip into the printer. Wait until the end of the spill before installation.
- Paste a tape on the label or use the previously removed label to cover the hole.
- Wait for 30 minutes before using the refilled ink cartridge.
- Once you get done with the refilling process, clean the cartridges, keep them safe and away from children.
- It is possible that after installing the refilled cartridge your printer refuse to print and display an error for low ink. That’s is completely normal. Just press the RESUME/STOP/RESET button on your printer for 5 to 15 seconds. It will prompt the printer to automatically start printing.
- Run 1 or 2 cleaning cycles after installing the ink cartridge.

Follow the steps below to refill the high capacity Canon PG545 ink cartridge:
Step 1: Preparation
You don’t need any pro grade preparation for refilling the ink cartridge but there are a few things you should do to keep things clean. Remove all the unnecessary stuff from the table and place a paper sheets, newspapers or plastic cover on it. Get ready with your ink refill kit.
Now remove the label on the upper side cartridge with a cutter knife.
Step 2: Refill
Once you remove the label on the cartridge, you will find a small ventilation opening in the middle of the cartridge. Usually, the cartridge’s top has some small box like partitions on it and you will find this small hole in the box right in the middle.
Now remove the label on the upper side cartridge with a cutter knife.
Now draw the syringe with ink and fill the ink inside this small hole as per the requirement. In case, the ink comes out of the filler opening or starts leaking, draw back 1 or 2ml of the ink.
Step 3: Clean and repack
Once the cartridge is full, clean the cartridge and glue the label back on it.
Step 4: Reinstall the cartridge
Once the Canon PG545 ink cartridge is cleaned and repackaged, re-install them in the printer and start printing.
