How to check the level of ink cartridges?
If the print quality is getting poor then it is required to check the remaining ink level of the HP OfficeJet Pro 6976 ink cartridges.
- Follow the steps given below to check the estimated ink level of the cartridges:
- In the control panel menu, swipe down the tab on top of the screen to open the Dashboard.
- Then click on ‘Ink’ to check whether the estimated ink levels are low or not.
- If Ink level cautions indicate a low-ink alert then purchase of a new HP OfficeJet Pro 6976 ink cartridge should be planned as soon as possible.
- Do not remove the cartridges until it is required to do so.
- If you are using a remanufactured cartridge, the ink level indicator may not work correctly.
How to replace the ink cartridges?
When the printer shows low ink alert, it is required to replace the cartridges. The following procedure must be followed to replace the HP OfficeJet Pro 6976 ink cartridges:
- First, ensure that the printer is turned on and the scanner's head is shut.
- Open the cartridge access slot.
Note: Check whether the print carriage has stopped moving before following the step 3. - Push the front part of the cartridge to eject it, and after that pull it out from the place.
- Take the new cartridge out from its packet.
- Using the colour-coded letters, place the cartridge into the vacant slot space until it is properly inserted in the slot.
Note: Verify that the colour-coded letter on the cartridge coordinates that on the slot. - Perform Step 3 to 5 again for every cartridge to be replaced.
- Seal the cartridge's access slot.
