- Remove the stack of paper from the tray.

Step 1: Check the HP Officejet 7610 ink cartridges for ink leaks.- Press on the power button to turn the printer On.
- Open the cartridge access door. The carriage does not move to the left side of the printer, so you need to do it carefully. Wait till the carriage is idle before you continue.
- Push down the cartridges to release them from the printer, and then pull them towards you to remove it from its slot.
- Remove the clear protective tape if it is still present on the nozzles.
- Gently slide the HP Officejet 7610 ink cartridge into the empty slot and then push on the upper part of it until it fixes into the place.
