What to do when printer’s LCD displays ‘TONER LOW’ and ask for cartridge installation?
You can follow these steps to reinstall the OKI toner cartridges:

Step 1:
Press the cover release and fully open printer’s top cover, try tapping the cartridge a few times to evenly distribute the fine dry toner powder. This will enable you to get high yield of the OKI MC562w toner ink cartridges.

Caution:
To avoid toner wastage and possible toner sensor errors, do not change the toner cartridges until “TONER EMPTY” is displayed by the printer.

Step 2:
Check the colour positions and make sure to install new cartridges in the same order.

  • Slide the colored release collar on the cartridge to move towards the right hand side of the printer
  • Lift the right-hand end of the cartridge and then take the cartridge to the right to release the left-hand end, and withdraw the toner cartridge out of the printer

Step 3:
Keep the empty cartridge down gently onto a piece of paper while you install the new one to prevent toner from marking your furniture.

Step 4:
Clean the top of the ID unit. If you spill any toner powder, lightly brush it off. If this is not sufficient, use a cool, damp cloth to remove any residue. Do not use hot water, or harmful solvents as they will make stains permanent.

Step 5:
Remove the new OKI MC562w toner ink cartridges from its box but leave its wrapping material in place for some time. Gently shake the new cartridge for several times to loosen and distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge. Remove the wrapping material and dispose the old cartridge responsibly, inside the pack that the new one came in.

Step 6:
Holding the cartridge by its top centre, lower it into the printer over the drum unit from which the old cartridge was removed. Insert the left end of the cartridge into the top of the drum unit first, pushing it against the spring on the drum unit, then lower the right end of the cartridge down onto the drum unit.

Step 7:
Pressing gently down on the OKI MC562w toner ink cartridges to ensure that it is firmly seated, slide the colored collar fully towards the left hand side of the printer. This will lock the cartridge into place and release toner into the drum unit. Then, close the top cover and press down firmly at both sides so that the cover latches get closed.
