How to generate a print quality check sheet for Brother DCP 150C?
If faded or streaked colours and broken text appear on your output, This may be either because of clogged nozzles or because of damaged or faulty Brother DCP 150C ink cartridges. One can check this by printing a Print Quality Check Sheet and looking at the nozzle check pattern. Follow the procedure below for it:
Step 1:Press the Ink Management system to proceed with the quality check
Step 2:Press up (▲) or down (∇) arrow key to choose the option of test print and then Press OK
Step 3:Then, press up (▲) or down (∇) arrow key to choose the Print Quality and Press OK to select it
Step 4:Press Colour Start. The machine begins with, printing the Print Quality Check Sheet
Step 5:Check the quality of the four colour blocks on the sheet. If found the quality OK then press (▲) for Yes else (∇) for No
Step 6:Do one of the following:
- If all lines are clear and visible, press up arrow key(▲) to choose Yes, and go to exit
Or - If you see missing short lines or broken prints then, press down arrow key (∇) to select No
After printing, the LCD screen of the printer will prompt a message, if the print quality is OK for black and three colours or not. If found OK press (▲) Yes or (∇) for No
Step 8:If the print is not appropriate, the LCD screen will ask you if you want to start the cleaning procedure. Press(▲) Yes (∇) No. If you Press (▲) Yes, the machine starts cleaning the print head
Step 9:After cleaning is finished, press Colour Start. The machine starts printing the Print Quality Check Sheet again
Step 10:Press Stop/Exit.
If you repeat this procedure at least five times and the print quality is still poor, replace the Brother DCP 150C ink cartridges for the clogged colour.
After replacing the ink cartridge, check the print quality. If the problem still exists, repeat the cleaning and test print procedures for at least five times for the new Brother DCP 150C ink cartridges. If ink is still missing, call your Brother dealer.
DO NOT touch the print head. Touching the print head may cause permanent damage and may void the print head's warranty.
