In a compact package, the Epson Stylus Photo RX620 intends to be an all rounder with multifunction capabilities. Both the printer hardware and software provided are heavy duty, meant to give the printer robust capabilities.
The all in one comes with a printer having a resolution of up to 5760 x 1440 dpi in both monochrome and colour, with a maximum printing speed of 17 ppm in black and 16ppm in colour. For printing, there are 6 Epson Stylus Photo RX620 Ink Cartridges in ink tanks. With an extra light cyan and light magenta, the print quality should be very true to the original, this, however, is not the case, with disappointing print quality. The maximum optical scan resolution is 2400 x 4800 dpi. The scanner quality is not very good either.
The device supports memory cards and has 2 USB port, one host port and another USB 2.0. It also has support for PictBridge and DPOF. The colour LCD displays a lot of information. A stand out feature of this all in one is the 35mm film support. A good thing here is that it can be operated without a computer for printing from memory card or the film, this further enhances its practicality. The separate ink tanks of Epson Stylus Photo RX620 Ink Cartridges help in keeping costs low as only the colour that gets finished needs to be replaced.
The input tray can handle up to 120 sheets but the output tray is small and that results in the printed output falling down. There is no automatic document feeder either. Epson Stylus Photo RX620 is otherwise a stylish, lightweight and compact printer. There is no numeric keypad, as there is no fax function, which keeps the printer face uncluttered.
Advantages:- Colour LCD
- Supports 35mm film scan

Epson Stylus Photo RX620 is an all-in-one that was intended to serve the home, small offices and image heavy purposes. The film reader is an uncommon feature in photo multifunction printers and distinguishes this all in one from many others. There is little else one could find exciting about it, is despite good printing and scanning resolutions, the outputs in both printing and scanning departments is not up to par. No fax support also limits its functionality.
