A. Please follow the instructions given below to replace the drum unit:

• Ensure that the printer is on when performing the replacement
• Now press the front cover release button and open the front cover
• Hold the drum unit by its blue handle and pull it out until it stops
• Turn the blue lock lever on the left side of the machine in the anticlockwise direction to the release position.
• Now hold the drum unit by its blue handle, lift the front side of its body and remove it out
• Next, hold the handle of each cartridge (one by one) and gently push it forward to unlock it and remove it out from the drum unit.
• Take the new drum unit and remove its protective cover
• Now hold each Brother HLL8250CDN toner cartridge one by one and slide it into its relevant colour section on the new drum unit until you hear a click sound.
• Then, take the new drum unit and glide it into the machine until it stops at the blue lock lever
• Now turn the blue lock lever in the clockwise direction to lock its position
• Push the drum unit until it stops
• Close the front cover

The drum unit and the cartridges are different. So, you need not replace your Brother HLL8250CDN toner cartridges when replacing the drum unit.
