Review

Value for money does not get better. Laser printers are usually thought to be an expensive affair, but Brother HL1110 is one of the most economical printers you can buy. This low-cost end of laser printer market is a highly competitive place to be, but Brother HL 1110 still shines through.

If compactness and design were major purchase criteria, this will be a great option. With a footprint just above A4 size and an enclosed design, it looks good on any student's desk or home shelf. Its gives a book printing and double side printing option too, though it is manual, but will serve well for those lengthy student projects. Talking about lengthy, the Brother HL1110 toner cartridges last for about 1000 pages. Given the fact that this printer will be mostly bought for home and educational usage, this seems to be a good toner life.

With a print resolution of 600 dpi and print speed up to 20 ppm, Brother HL1110 will serve most homes and students well. The print quality is average though, with slight edges getting cut in the larger prints. But compared to other similarly priced units, the quality is pretty much at par and better in some places. The Brother HL1110 toner cartridges give a high per page cost, which can be resolved with compatible cartridges.
