How to resolve "Ink System Failure" error message that displays on the control panel or on the computer screen?
Follow the instructions mentioned below to resolve this issue.
Step 1: Use suitable HP Officejet 7612 ink cartridges compatible with your printer. If the ink cartridge is not compatible, it might cause an error. If the cartridge is compatible but still have issues, then move to the next solution.
Step 2: Reset the printer. In some cases, resetting the printer helps and can clear most of the error messages.- While the printer is turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer for 30-40 seconds and then reconnect it again.
- Turn the printer on while pressing and holding the resume button for 10-20 seconds. The attention light will turn on.
- Release the resume button. This process will restore factory defaults. If still the issue remains, move to the next solution.
Caution: Do not touch the copper-coloured electrical chip or the ink nozzles. This might result in low-quality printing, due to bad electrical connections.
Step 3: Remove the HP Officejet 7612 ink cartridges.- Press on the power button to turn on the printer, if it not already on.
- At the front side of the printer, open the carriage access door. Wait till the carriage is idle before proceeding to the next step.
- Press at the front of the cartridge and press at the top of it.
- Gently pull it towards you to release it from its slot.
- Repeat the above mentioned steps for other HP Officejet 7612 ink cartridges and then close the carriage access door.
- Check the control panel to see if the error message still displays. If still the error is there then move to the next solution.
- The error might display if the firmware is outdated.
- Then you need to download the firmware update and then install it on your printer.
