What measures should be taken to get rid of the faint printouts while using Brother HL2150 Toner Cartridges?

One of the main reasons for the faint printouts is that the drum unit and toner cartridges may not be installed properly or the toner save mode is switched on. Take the following steps to get rid of the issue:

Turn off the toner save mode:

• Make sure the "Toner Save Mode" is turned off in the printer Properties tab of the driver.

Install a new toner cartridge:

• Make sure that the printer is turned on.
• Open the front cover of the Brother printer.
• Hold the machine with one hand and hold the drum unit with the other hand.
• Pull the assembly of the drum unit and toner cartridge out from the machine.
• Push the green lock lever down and take the cartridge out of the drum unit.
• Unpack the new toner cartridge.
• Hold the cartridge level with both hands and gently rock it from side to side to spread the toner evenly inside the toner cartridge.
• Put off the protective cover and put the new toner cartridge correctly into the drum unit and make it lock at that place.

Note: If the Brother HL2150 Toner Cartridges are left unpacked for a long time the toner life will be shortened.

• Clean the corona wire by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and vice versa.
• Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the Brother printer and close the front cover of the machine.

• Make sure that the Brother HL2150 printer is turned on and the Drum LED is blinking.

• Unpack the new drum unit and put the toner cartridge correctly into the new drum unit. It should be locked properly.
• Clean the corona wire properly by sliding the green tab from right to left and left to right.
• Put the Brother HL2150 Toner Cartridges and drum unit assembly back into the printer.
• Reset the drum counter. Press & hold down the white button until all the LEDs light up. Release the button, once all 4 LEDs are lit.
• Close the front cover of the printer.
