How to clear paper jams inside the drum unit and Brother MFC 8380DN toner cartridge assembly for Brother printer?

Please follow the steps mentioned below to clear the paper jam:

Step 1: Press the front cover release button and open the cover.
Step 2: Take out the drum cover and toner cartridge assembly slowly.
Step 3: Push down the blue lock lever and take out the Brother MFC 8380DN toner cartridge from the drum unit. If there is any jammed paper inside the drum unit, take it out.
Step 4: Clear the jammed paper and put the toner cartridge back into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. If you place it properly, the blue lock lever will lift automatically.
Step 5: Now, put the drum unit and Brother MFC 8380DN toner cartridge back into the machine.
Step 6: Close the front cover.
Note: If the error message still remains, open and close the front cover and fuser cover slowly to reset the printer.

While printing, there is an error message “Jam Tray 1” on the LCD display. How to clear the message?

Please consider the following steps to clear the paper jam:

• Pull the paper tray out completely.
• Pull out the jammed paper slowly with both your hands.
• Ensure that the paper is below the maximum paper mark of the paper tray. While pressing the blue paper guide release lever, move smoothly the paper guides to fit the paper size. Verify that the paper guides are firmly in the slots.
• Put the paper tray carefully back into the machine. Make sure to fan the paper in order to verify that no pages stick together, potentially causing paper jams.
  Note: Don’t take out the standard paper tray while the paper is feeding on a lower paper tray. Else, it will cause a paper jam.
