How to resolve poor print quality issue if Ink does not come out or printing is blurred?
If missing lines or white stripes are found in the printed nozzle check pattern, follow the procedure to Fine Cartridge Cleaning to unclog the FINE Cartridge Nozzles.
Step 1. Press Menu and select Maintenance.
Step 2. Select Cleaning from Maintenance.
Step 3. Press OK.
If the print quality does not improve after a standard FINE Cartridge Cleaning, try FINE Cartridge Deep Cleaning .Perform the following procedure only when necessary:
Step 1. Press Menu and select Maintenance
Step 2. Select Deep Cleaning from Maintenance
Step 3. Press OK
If ruled lines are misaligned or a printout is unsatisfactory then align the FINE Cartridge. Follow the procedure to align the Canon Pixma MP170 Ink Cartridges:
Step 1. Press Menu and select Maintenance

Step 3. Beginning from column A on the printout, enter check marks in the patterns that have the most solid image

Step 5. Press OK. The machine scans the pattern and aligns the FINE Cartridge automatically

Step 1. Open the printer properties dialog box.
