A. Yes, we provide A5 size greeting cards, envelopes, A4 size plain white paper, glossy photo paper and matte photo paper that you can use to print on with Canon Pixma MG2150 printers.
Q. How many pages can your compatible Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges print as compared to the original ink cartridges?
A. Genuine Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges can print up to 180 pages each without being replaced. Whereas, our colour compatible ink cartridges can produce up to 400 pages and black compatible ink cartridges can print about 600 pages without requiring replacement.
Q. I recently bought a Canon Pixma MG2150 printer. However, I noticed that the printing speed is not as fast as I expected it to be. What can I do solve this problem?
A. There may be a few reasons as to why the printing speed is not up to the mark. Check the following settings to increase the print speed:
- Check whether the printer is set to reduce the machine noise while printing.
- When the printer is set to reduce the noise it makes while printing, the print speed becomes slower. Disable this setting for faster printing.
- Check if the print quality is set too high.
- Increase the printing speed setting in the printer driver. Setting to prioritize speed makes printing faster. You can do this by opening the printer driver window and selecting the “Fast” option in the “Print Quality” setting.
- Check whether your printer prevents double-feed of plain paper.
- When the setting for preventing double-feed of plain paper is selected, printing speed may be reduced. Disable the setting for preventing double-feed of plain paper using the operation panel or your computer. You can disable it by opening the printer driver setup window, and in Custom Settings in the Maintenance sheet, unchecking the Prevent paper double-feed check box.

Q. My printer Canon Pixma MG2150 is displaying a message that says ‘Error P02’. What does this indicate?
A. There are few reasons when Canon Pixma MG2150 shows ‘Error P02’ on your display panel. First reason could be, both or either of the ink cartridges have not been inserted in correct position. Hence, reinsert them correctly. Secondly, Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges could have failed to function electrically. In that case you would have to replace the ink cartridges. Third, a paper jam or paper bits stuck here and there in the printer may cause the issue. Lastly, encoder film strip (a clear strip for the printer carriage to operate) may have dirt. Thus, you need to clean the strip. Please be cautious while cleaning, as the strip is delicate.
Q. I use refilled Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges frequently. What measures can I take to maintain my cartridges in reusable/refillable condition?
A. We appreciate the usage of refilled cartridges. Reuse of any material is the foremost way of recycling. So to enhance the reusability of your Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges please have a look at the points below:
- Avoid printing until the last drop of ink is remaining. Doing so burns the printheads on the cartridge making your cartridge vulnerable. Therefore, as soon as you find that the print quality is going lighter, replace the cartridge with a new one.
- Make a habit of storing your print cartridges (regardless of the ink volume) with the print heads facing down. This keeps the ink in liquid form and prevents the dried ink from clogging the print heads.
- If you bought the cartridges with the clip on, it is best to store cartridge (full or empty) back in the clip. This will help the print head to stay moist. Alternatively, you could also use an airtight plastic bag to seal the cartridges.
- Ensure the copper electronics area on the cartridge does not face any scratches, dents or any kind of damage. If it happens you cannot use the cartridge again. You can use the clips mentioned above to protect copper electronic area.
Q. I have a Canon Pixma MG2150 printer. I would like to know how does a waste ink absorber work?
A. A waste ink absorber absorbs the excess or used ink that is left after the cleaning cycles of clogged print head nozzles. During a cycle a small amount of ink is used from the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges to unclog the nozzles. This ink cannot be used for printing. So this ink goes into the waste ink absorber. Once this ink absorber is full, it requires replacement. Unlike the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges, the waste ink absorber cannot be replaced at home. You will have to contact Canon service centre for the same.
Q. How can I use My Image Garden to print images? I own a Canon Pixma MG2150 printer.
A. My Image Garden is a software that offers image analysis, editing and printing. If you want to launch My Image Garden you need to click on Applications followed by Canon Utilities. Then click on My Image Garden. Here click on My Image Garden icon. If you are not able to launch the application this way then you can click on the My Image Garden icon that is present in the menu bar when Quick Menu is launched. The application will display a Welcome to My Image Garden dialogue box. This application uses images that are displayed in the folder. Once you have specified the folder, click on Ok. Now the image analysis will begin. My Image Garden will display a calendar because the images have not been saved according to the date on your system. If the images are saved according to the dates then you will be able to see the images directly. You can also select the images from the global menu (left side) in the folder. Now select the images that need to be printed and click on Print. A window will appear for printer settings. Once the print command is given then printing will begin.
Q. I bought ink cartridges about a year back. Are they still good to use? What is the shelf life of ink cartridges? How do I prepare the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges for replacement?
A. There are certain steps that are taken while replacing the cartridges. You must keep the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges ready when you want to replace. Shake the cartridge a few times while it is still in the packaging. Once you have opened the packaging, you must not shake it else ink may spill from it and stain your clothes. Once the cartridge is out of the packaging, it needs to be handled carefully. There is an orange protective tape on the top of the cartridge, remove that. This tape should not be reattached on the cartridge after it has been removed. Be careful not to touch the print head nozzles or the electrical contacts of the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges once they have been prepared for replacement. If this happens, the printer will have problems detecting the ink cartridges. You should never open the Canon Pixma MG2150 ink cartridges long before you want to replace the older ones. The cartridges should never be taken out from the packaging and stored, this decreases the shelf-life of the ink cartridges by 1.5 years. The shelf life of a packaged ink cartridge is about 2 years, but if you open the packaging and take the ink cartridges out the shelf-life drops down to 6 months. You must replace one cartridge at a time to make sure that the ink does not get clogged.
