This is a laser printer at a price where usually one sees mostly inkjet printers. To have a laser printer in this space helps the user reduce his printer’s running costs, the only issue being that inkjet give colour prints which suit home and student need more.
While the specifications say its a 600 x 600 dpi printer, the same does not get reflect in its print quality, which is a quite grainy. The best part is its speed with sub 7 seconds first copy times and overall speed of 24 ppm. The HP Laserjet p1505n Toner Cartridges are capable of printing up to 1500 pages. Its average duty cycle is 8000 pages per month make it a good option for many uses. The running costs are quite low for a laser printer. The connectivity is only through a USB, and a ethernet print server is provided as optional. Even with its extremely compact dimensions, it has a covered paper tray which can hold upto 260 pages.
The memory of 2 mb that comes with it is also expandable, which can increase the printer’s performance further. Its this performance and speed that work in its favour.
