Note: To determine whether the ink ejects correctly from the print head nozzles, print a nozzle check pattern.
- Nozzle check pattern will not be printed correctly if the amount of ink remaining is low. Replace the Canon Pixma iP3600 Ink Cartridge whose ink is low
- Use the Resume/ Cancel button to print the nozzle check pattern from the printer
- Ensure that the power is turned on and one or more sheets of A4 or Letter-sized paper is loaded in the Cassette
- Open up the paper output tray gently, and extend it to open the output tray extension
- Hold the Resume or Cancel button until the power lamp flashes green, and then discharge it immediately. This will print the pattern on the screen. Do not open the cover while printing is in progress. Analyze the pattern printed and then take the required action
- Ensure that the power is turned on and sheets of A4 size or Letter-size paper are loaded in the cassette
- Open the paper output tray gently
- Open the printer properties dialog box. Refer your user manual for opening the printer properties dialog box in Windows
- Print the nozzle check pattern.
- Click on the Maintenance tab menu
- Click to print the nozzle check pattern.
- Confirm the display message settings and then click on the print check pattern. The nozzle check pattern will be printed. Do not open the top cover while printing is in progress.
- Examine the pattern and refer your online manual for examining the nozzle check pattern.
