Also, the Epson WorkForce WF-3620 ink cartridges are replaceable. Though it requires replacing only those Epson WorkForce WF-3620 ink cartridges that run out of ink. You'll be immensely happy to know that the WorkForce WF-3620DWF has got a fax modem. Not only this, but it is also equipped with a lot of useful features, for instance, wired and wireless networking, and duplex (2-sided) print, scan, copy and fax. This printer also boasts a 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), USB, SD and Memory card slots, so that you can scan to or print from an inserted device. Though it lacks direct PDF printing.
While Epson's claimed 20,000-page-per-month duty cycle sounds a tad optimistic, there's nothing that strong about its design. Though proper care and attention will do the trick. The 250-sheet input and 125-sheet output trays are strong, and the scanner lid sits on robust hinges that cope with thicker books or stacks of documents. In all the design is not what you will desire at this price, however, opening the WF-3620's scanner lid flips open the dust cover on the single-sheet special media slot at the rear. The WF-3620 printer uses a pair of 2.7” touch screen and physical buttons. Though this printer aims to give an excellent working experience, the screen may take time to register touches and the layout of the top level of the menu can baffle for a minute. Moreover, there is not much welcome addition in the printer, but, unlike its predecessor, the WF-3620 supports multitasking, meaning you can scan a document while it's busy printing or vice versa.
We were not expecting blistering speed at this price, but the WF-3620DWF is quite fast at printing, scanning as well as copying. While tested over a wired network connection, it reached 17.4 pages per minute (ppm) and when printing black text, and almost 5.4 ppm even on our far more complex colour graphics test. This printer is not supposed to be good at printing photographs though, it can deliver one 6x4" print every two-and-a-half minutes, and quality isn’t quite up there with the very best. Photocopies are produced fast where a single mono copy takes 13 seconds while using the ADF to copy 10 pages will only take less than a minute and a half. For coloured photocopies, the equivalent tests can take more than seconds. Scans are also fast with a 300 dots-per-inch (dpi) capture of an A4 sheet needing just nine seconds, and a 1,200dpi scan of a 6x4" photo-taking 3-35 seconds. The quality of the scans is quite impressive as the results are unusually sharp and display an excellent dynamic range. Prints and photocopies are also very good. Colours may somewhat lack saturation, and draft quality may be faint.
This printer is capable of supporting both genuine and compatible Epson WorkForce WF-3620 ink cartridges, where the compatible Epson WorkForce WF-3620 ink cartridges work the same as the genuine ones. How to get rid of the white or dark lines in your Epson WorkForce WF-3620 printer?
If you notice any dark or white line in your prints, try these solutions before reprinting the document:
- Try running a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Clean the printhead if nozzles are clogged.
- Make sure to match the paper type settings with the type of paper.
- Check if you have loaded the printable side of the paper to be printed.

- For OS X 10.5: In the Apple menu or the Dock, select System Preferences > Print & Fax > select your product > Open Print Queue > Utility.
- Select nozzle check and a dialogue box will appear.
- Select print and check the printed patterns if there are any gaps between the lines.
- If there are no gaps click finish. If there are gaps clean the printhead.
