Step 1: In a cassette load a few sheets of plain paper.
Step 2: Follow one of the processes below.
- For Windows- Access the Windows desktop and right click the printer icon for your product in the right side of the Windows taskbar, or click up arrow and select print.
- For MAC: In the menu select system preferences. Choose the suitable option for your product and then select Options and Supplies. Choose Utility and then select open printer utility.
Step 3: Select the nozzle check and click on the print option.
Step 4: Check the printed pattern to observe if there are any gaps in the lines. If the gap is observed clean the print heads immediately.
Step 5: If there are no gaps, click on the finish button.
How to clean the clogged print head nozzles for Epson XP printer?

Step 6: Once the cleaning process is done, select print nozzle check pattern and click on the print option to ensure nozzles are cleaned.
Step 7: Check the printed pattern to inspect the gaps in the lines.
- If you don’t find any gap, click on finish.
- If there are any gaps or you find print is faint or light, click clean to repeat the process.
If you are still not able to resolve the issue after 2 processes. Wait for 6 hours and then check and run the utility again if required. Most of the print issues are caused due to the usage of low or dried out Epson XP-7100 ink cartridges. Check if your cartridges need replacement.
