Just replaced the Brother TN3480 toner cartridge inside the printer and the toner LED of the printer is still on or flashing. How can I solve this problem?

If your machine's toner LED keeps flashing after installing a new toner cartridge, follow the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue:

• Verify that you didn't replace incorrect consumable by mistake.
  The Brother printer has two separate consumables - the toner cartridge and the drum unit. You need to check that you replace the toner cartridge and not the drum unit.
• Verify you are using a new Brother TN3480 toner cartridge.
  When replacing the cartridge, you must install a brand new, unused toner cartridge in order to reset the toner status. Swapping toner cartridges from one printer to another or installing a partially used cartridge to the printer may cause this problem.
