How to replace the toner cartridge in Brother MFC 8950DWT printer?
Follow the below step by step procedure to replace the Brother MFC 8950DWT toner cartridges.
Step 1: Keep the machine turned on so that the internal fan can cool down extremely hot parts inside the machine.
Step 2: Now, open the front cover by pressing the release button.
Step 3: Move out the cartridge assembly and drum unit carefully. Warning: Do not let the toner cartridge and drum unit come in contact with fire, it could further result in injuries.
Step 4: Push the green lock lever down and remove the toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
Warning: Handle the toner cartridge carefully, wash it out immediately if it scatters on your hands or clothes.
Note: Make sure you seal up the used cartridge in a suitable bag to ensure that toner powder does not spill out of the cartridge.
Step 5: Uncover the new Brother MFC 8950DWT toner cartridge and shake it gently from both sides to ensure that the toner is spread evenly inside the cartridge.
Note: Do not let the new toner cartridge left unpack for a longer time as this may shorten the toner life. Avoid using faulty or dried out toner cartridges. Make sure you are using a compatible Brother MFC 8950DWT toner cartridge. Do not try to refill the old cartridge.
Step 6: Remove the protective cover and place the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until the green lock lever lifts automatically. Note: To prevent degradation of the print quality, put the toner cartridge immediately in the drum unit once the protective cover is removed.
Step 7: Make sure the corona wire inside the drum unit is clean if it does not gently slide the green tab from side to side several times to clean it.
Step 8: Put the toner assembly and drum unit back inside the machine carefully.
Step 9: Close the front cover of the machine.
