A. To print multiple lines on the label, follow few steps below:

• Type the first line of information, you need to add in.
• Press enter to make a new line. A return mark will appear.
• Type the next line of information. The next line will be displayed next to the return mark.
• Then, press print.

A. If the display is blank, try out few solutions to solve the issue:

• Check that the batteries are properly inserted into the machine.
• If the batteries are weak the machine will not work properly, replace them when needed.
• Check that the adapter is correctly connected and placed.

Q. How to resolve a blank horizontal line that appears on the printed label, when I print through Brother P-Touch 1000?
A. There may be some dust on the print head. Remove the tape cassette and use a dry cotton swab to gently wipe the print head with an up-and-down motion. Cleaning the printhead will probably resolve the issue.

Q. What should I do if the Brother P-Touch 1000 Label Tape does not feed properly or got stuck inside the machine.
A. If the tape got stuck inside the machine, try out the following:

• Check that the end of the Brother P-Touch 1000 Label Tape feeds under the tape guides.
• The cutter lever is used while printing is in progress. Do not touch the cutter lever during printing, this might restrict label from feeding.

A. If you got stripes on your label, it indicates that you have reached the end of the Brother P-Touch 1000 Label Tape and need to replace it with the new one.

Q. What precautions I should keep while handling the label printer?
A. There are few safety tips that one should keep in mind while handling the label tapes or label printer:

• Keep in mind to not clean the machine with alcohol or other organic solvents. You should only use soft, dry cloth for cleaning the surface.
• Do not touch the print head with your fingers. Use a soft wipe cotton swab to clean the printhead.
• Do not put any foreign objects into the Brother P-Touch 1000 Label Tape exit slot or AC adapter connector.
• Do not place the P-touch labeler in contact with direct sunlight or rain, near heaters or other hot appliances, in any location that is exposed to extremely high or low temperatures, high humidity, or dusty locations.
• Do not try to print labels using an empty Brother P-Touch 1000 Label Tape cassette in the P-touch labeler. Doing so will damage the print head.
• Do not pull the tape being fed from the P-touch labeler, the P-touch labeler or tape cassette may get damaged.
