The pages printed with HP Colour LaserJet CP1025 toner cartridge have dots on them. How can I improve the print quality?
Follow the procedure given below to improve the print quality:
Step 1: Dots are usually caused by foreign (paper dust, paper clips, staples, glue from envelopes) materials inside the machine, damaging the surface of the drum.
Step 2: Do the following to clean the drum unit:
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Lift the drum unit up and pull it out of the machine.
- Remove the HP Colour LaserJet CP1025 toner cartridge from the drum by holding the green lock level (at the left side) and lifting the toner out.
- Turn the drum unit cover and make sure the white drum unit gear is on the left side.
- Search for any marks on the drum surface Turning the drum gear will help you inspect the entire drum surface.
- Clean the roller by lightly wiping the drum surface with a cloth lightly dampened with water.
- Also, clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by slowly sliding the green tab located at the top of the drum unit, from left to right a few times. Before reinstalling the drum unit assembly, return the green tab to the home position.
- Reinstall the toner into the drum. But make sure it clicks into place. Once you put it in properly, the green lock lever will lift automatically.
Step 3: Print the User Settings List by pressing MENU.
- If the issue is the same and the dots are appearing randomly on the printout, try for loose toner inside the machine and around the drum area. A HP Colour LaserJet CP1025 toner cartridge that is leaking or has leaked inside the printer will need to be replaced soon. Do not remove the toner cartridge from the Brother printer until you are ready to replace it.
