Printout Problems: Print Quality Is Poor

Check the following if the print quality is poor due to blurry prints, banding, missing colours, faded colours, misalignment, and mosaic-like patterns in the prints.

1. Check and replace low or empty Epson XP 322 ink cartridges.

2. Run the nozzle check, and then clean the printhead if any of the print head nozzles are clogged.

3. Align the print head.

4. Use paper supported by this printer.

5. Do not print on paper that is damp, damaged, or too old.

6. If the paper is curled or the envelope is puffed up, flatten it.

7. Select the appropriate paper type setting on the control panel or in the printer driver for the type of paper loaded in the printer.

8. Print using a high-quality setting on the control panel or in the printer driver.

9. When images or photos are printed in unexpected colours, adjust the colour and then print again.The automatic colour correction feature uses the standard Photo Enhance correction mode. Try another Photo Enhance correction mode by selecting an option other than Auto Correct as the Scene Correction setting. If the problem continues, use any other colour correction feature other than Photo Enhance.

11. Do not stack the paper immediately after printing.

12. Dry the printouts completely before filing or displaying them. When drying the printouts, avoid direct sunlight, do not use a dryer, and do not touch the printed side of paper.
