How to improve the print quality issues of Epson XP-710 printer?
Print quality issues like blurred or dimmed prints, prints with missing or incorrect colours, could be the result of using faulty or dried out Epson XP-710 ink cartridges. The poor print problem can also occur due to clogged print head nozzles. Check for the issue and follow the steps accordingly:
Blurry or smeared printouts:- Make sure that the printer is placed on a flat or stable surface and it is not tilted otherwise it will not work properly.
- Avoid using faulty ink cartridges; you may use compatible Epson XP-710 ink cartridges for good quality prints.
- Use the paper recommended by Epson and always check that paper is not damaged or dirty before printing.
- Make sure that the printable side of the paper (the glossier or whiter) is facing up in the rear paper feed.
- If the paper is rolled from the printable side, straighten it or curl it slightly towards the opposite side.
- Make sure to choose the appropriate paper type from the menu shown on the LCD screen and select the printer driver according to the paper loaded in the printer.
- Remove the paper from the output tray once printing is done.
- Do not let the shiny finish of printed side paper get in contact with anything as it might spoil your prints.
- To clean any clogged ink nozzles, run the head cleaning utility. Refer the user guide manual for the further process.
- Run print head alignment utility and refer the manual for aligning the print heads.
- Clean the surface of the scanner glass to improve the copy quality issues.
Step 1. Clear Grayscale settings for your printer driver.
- For Windows, open the advanced window in your printer driver and clear the grayscale setting.
- For Mac OS X: printer driver's Print Dialogue box > Printing settings > clear grayscale setting.
- For Windows, check the colour setting in the advanced window.
- For Mac OS X: check the colour options dialogue box from the print dialogue box.
Step 3. Make sure to check the date on the box while replacing the Epson XP-710 ink cartridges. If the product has not been used for a long time, Epson recommends changing the ink cartridges.
