Installation instructions

The following are the steps for installing Dell 593-10258 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10259 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10260 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10261 toner cartridge:
  1. Open the printer cover.
  2. Hold the front of the used toner cartridge and pull up and out, away from the printer to slide the cartridge out.
  3. Remove the protective paper.
  4. Gently tip this cartridge from side to side three times to loosen the toner inside – DO NOT SHAKE.
  5. Insert the replacement cartridge and close the cover. The printer will perform an automatic calibration and will then be ready to use.
  6. Place the used cartridge in the replacement cartridge packaging and attach the Freepost label.

Refilling Instructions

The following are the steps for refilling Dell 593-10258 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10259 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10260 toner cartridge, Dell 593-10261 toner cartridge:

  1. Before opening your product, please perform printer nozzle tests to ensure your printer is in good condition. If your printer has produced a perfect result, please attach a copy of the nozzle check to your purchase receipt as this will validate your warranty. You can now proceed.
  2. If your printer has printed with missing lines or uneven coloring, please repeat head cleaning. If your second print is similar to the first, let your printer sit 2-3 hours then run another nozzle check. If you still see broken lines, then do another head cleaning and let it sit 3-4 hours. Sometimes it takes 3-4 head cleanings. DO NOT run more than 3 head cleanings in a row without sitting your printer for few hours. If your printer still has broken lines, you more than likely have damaged printer heads and you will need them replaced.
  1. Peel off top label. Use the drill to enlarge air holes.
  2. Attach needle to syringe and load syringe with ink. Use the small drill to enlarge in the hole.
  3. Use a toothpick to poke inside hole, verify the color sequence. Insert needle into correct cartridge ink hole. Make sure needle reaches to bottom of cartridge.
  4. SLOWLY inject the ink into the cartridge. Stop if the ink begins to well up from the fill hole. DO NOT OVERFILL. These cartridges are very inclined to cross-contaminate from the bottom. You must hold the cartridge up and watch the print head as you inject the ink. As soon as you see ink coming out STOP and wipe it off with a tissue. Then back the needle up and continue. When the ink keeps coming out the print head STOP because the chamber is full.
  5. Clean off top of cartridge, un-tape the next fill hole and tape over the one just filled.
  6. Repeat steps until all colors have been filled.
    Clean off the cartridge. Re-insert the plugs.
  7. Reinstall in printer and run one or two cleaning cycles until the cartridge begins to print correctly. Do not exceed three cleaning cycles.
NOTE: If the cartridge print in streaks, first refill the cartridge, then start a cleaning cycle with your printer software. If the problem remains, fill a bowl with ½ inch of warm water (max temperature 90F) and soak the cartridge in it for 1 to 2 hours. Use an empty syringe without needle to pressure air from above into the openings. By doing so produce a high pressure within the ink chambers, and press the air bubbles out of the nozzle chamber.
